Galaxy Audio goes lightweight with headset mics

Galaxy Audio has focused on lightweight design with the introduction of the ESM8 single-ear and HSM8 dual-ear headset condenser microphones. The mics feature upgraded capsules, designed to offer clarity and improved feedback rejection with smooth frequency responses. With a reduced element size, uni 3.5mm and omni 7mm, the headsets offer a reportedly unobtrusive low profile and easy adjustment. Detachable cables are also available in configurations for Galaxy Audio wireless systems.
The manufacturer is also looking to maintain a compact design with its new model MSPA5 Powered Micro Spot speaker. The product incorporates both the PA6S Powered Hot Spot and Powered Nano Spot, and is designed for use on a range of applications including churches, schools, courtrooms, fixed installations or on stage.
It is powered by a 100W amplifier, delivering sound through a five-inch full range ceramic speaker, reportedly providing improved vocal clarity. The MSPA5 will also accept mic or line level with its XLR, +48V phantom Power, ¼-inch or ⅛-inch input. Additionally, volume and EQ controls are located on the front panel, with the built in compressor/limiter preventing signal clipping. It can be mounted to a mic stand or a wall or ceiling bracket with the included hardware.
