JoeCo beats the competition black and blue

JoeCo has gone blue. Known as the ‘home of the BlackBox recorder’, the British manufacturer has released the BlueBox family of Workstation Interface Recorders, which initially comprises the BBWR24MP and BBWR08MP. Each BlueBox is designed to protect from the unexpected, such as DAW freeze or failure, by constantly backing up a user’s work. In addition to interfacing with a studio workstation, BlueBox can also be used on location, possessing the BlackBox features that allow it to serve as a standalone multi-track audio recorder.

The BBWR24MP and BBWR08MP are both 24-bit/96kHz models that have been built to be robust and reliable. While the BBWR24MP offers 24 channels of individually switchable mic/line inputs, the BBWR08MP presents eight as well as six channels of dedicated balanced line inputs. All mic channels on both devices include the manufacturer’s preamp design.

BlueBox devices can be controlled in one of two ways: using JoeCoControl on the workstation itself; or with the JoeCoRemote iPad app. Several units of the BBWR24MP can also be combined for larger applications and connected to a Mac or a PC.
