Lightweight, pole-mounted speaker from Danley

Danley Sound Labs’ SM-80 is the latest addition to the manufacturer’s SM-series of lightweight, cost-effective moulded-horn loudspeakers. In fact, the SM-80 weighs 29kg and measures 64.8cm in height, making it particularly suited for pole-mounting applications.

When used with the manufacturer’s TH-series subwoofers, Danley claims that a pair of pole-mounted SM-80s provide an ‘ideal solution’ for small to mid-sized live sound and installed sound applications.

The SM-80’s frequency response extends from 110Hz to 20kHz with 102dB SPL sensitivity, and boasts an 80x80 coverage pattern. Its continuous power rating is 400W in and 128dB SPL out, peaking at 1600W and 134dB SPL, respectively. Its single 12-inch coaxial driver and paired horn offer 8ohm impedance.
