Lightweight, self-powered GP from Grund
Published: PRODUCTS

Grund Audio Design has announced the introduction of the new lightweight and self-powered GP loudspeaker series. Designed for a wide range of applications, the injection moulded enclosures are ideally suited to clubs, mobile DJs, performing musicians, corporate A/V, houses of worship, and education.
With four models – the GP-08, GP-10, GP-12, and GP-15 – the GP loudspeakers are all two-way systems featuring a 1-inch compression driver mated with an 8-, 10-, 12-, or 15-inch weather treated low frequency transducer. Combined with a reinforced, ribbed, two-piece moulded, low flex enclosure, the manufacturer claims the new GP loudspeakers ‘provide dynamic performance with excellent speech intelligibility and natural music reproduction characteristics’.
The loudspeakers are self-powered – simplifying system cabling – and they incorporate power amplifiers that range from 200W to 700W. Connections include XLR microphone, CD player, and line XLR inputs, whilst each loudspeaker features individual volume controls for each input as well as master tone controls for output – effectively creating micro level mixing capability within the system.
For larger events all GP loudspeakers feature isolated outputs for connecting multiple enclosures, M8 rigging points, a pole mount cup for use with floor stands and floor monitor feet.
