Loudspeaker launches from Alto Professional

Described by the manufacturer as ‘ready at a moments notice to provide fantastic, convenient sound reinforcement’, the Mixpack range comprises three options in the shape of Mixpack Express, Mixpack and Mixpack Pro, all of which feature detachable speakers packaged with a centrally-powered mixing chassis.

Serving as an entry point into the range, the 350W Mixpack Express offers six channels and is described as ideal for ‘coffee houses or smaller band performances’. The larger 600W Mixpack is a three-way system boasting a 12-inch sub. Finally, the 1,000W Mixpack Pro offers up to 10 inputs and a 15-inch subwoofer.

Meanwhile, the Tourmax range is intended to deliver ‘professional grade, affordable backline sound’, with Alto Professional making much of the range’s flat response and 13mm Baltic birch cabinets.

The loudspeakers are available in passive two-way 12-inch and 15-inch options, with the 12-inch models delivering 200W RMS against the 15-inch cabinet’s 300W RMS. A 500W dual 15-inch speaker is also available alongside an active 12-inch stage monitor. Completing the range are 400W RMS 15-inch and 18-inch subs.

Finally, the Truesonic and Truesonic Pro ranges are primarily targeted at musicians and budget-conscious live engineers, though the manufacturer is also expecting the series to impact the mid-level installation market. As the name would suggest, a flat frequency response is again the key feature, with Alto promising ‘an ultra-pure signal path and amplification to deliver precise reproduction’.

The Truesonic range comprises two-way 12-inch and 15-inch speakers in multiple configurations, while Truesonic Pro adds neodymium woofers, 1.75-inch HF drivers and onboard DSP to the design, again in 12-inch or 15-inch sizes. The Pro series also adds active 15-inch and 18-inch subs.
