Lucas Nano 600 dubbed ‘world’s first crossover PA’

HK Audio has declared that its recently launched Lucas Nano 600 is the ‘world’s first crossover PA’, explaining that it can be deployed either as a single column or stereo solution.

According to the manufacturer, the recent rise of mono columnar systems represents a demand in the market for systems that are easy for musicians and DJs to set up, yet a stereo pair still delivers higher quality results. The Lucas Nano 600 can reportedly be deployed in either configuration.

The 16kg mono column delivers a maximum SPL of 130dB, while the conventional 2.1 stereo setup can also be extended to a twin set by linking the two mono columns with one subwoofer each and two stacked satellites to configure a full-range stereo rig. The result can provide coverage for an audience of 200.

Inside the boxes, each satellite comprises a coaxial 4.5-inch/1-inch design, with the tweeters having been equipped with a ‘MultiCell Transformer’ to boost performance. Meanwhile, the 10-inch subwoofer features a specially-developed internal bracing system that reportedly improves bass response.
