Martin delivers pre-mixed whites

Martin Professional’s Rush MH 6 Wash CT is reportedly a result of customer requests for a pre-mixed white iteration of the manufacturer’s Rush MH 6. The fixture is described as ‘a true white wash light that blends both warm and cold white LEDs for colour temperature control’.
The fixture features a fully pre-mixed white colour system from 12W x 10W cold white/warm white LEDs with a 10-degrees to 60-degrees zoom. The pre-mixed whites range from 2,700K to 7,800K. Away from the whites, the Rush MH 6 Wash CT also offers full electronic dimming, strobe effects and temperature-controlled fan cooling for quiet operation.
Staying in the Rush family, Martin has aimed for versatility with its Rush MH 7 Hybrid. The light is described as ‘an all-in-one beam, spot and wash moving head fixture’. The light which features a Philips Platinum 11R 250W 7,800K lamp, offers three zoom modes – 2.2-degrees to 15-degrees in beam mode, 2.5-degrees to 24-degrees in spot mode and 15-degrees to 45-degrees in wash mode. There are 10 selectable colours and effects via an eight-facet circular and four-facet linear prism, as well as eight rotating/indexing and 12 static gobos.
Another multi-purpose fixture is the Mac Axiom Hybrid, which has been developed as a hybrid beam and spot fixture. The manufacturer states that the zoom and focus capability ‘eliminates the need for dedicated beam or spot modes’, whilst allowing ‘instant and discrete transitions from a high-intensity collimated beam to a flat field spot’. The optical system reportedly offers high contrast, both in mid-air and projection in addition to what Martin Professional claims to be ‘a flat field not often seen with short-arc lamp technology’.
