Turbosound has introduced the Milan MI5 digitally self-powered 15-inch two-way loudspeaker, together with the matching Milan MI8 18-inch 1kW digitally powered subwoofer.
A multi-purpose Compact loudspeaker range for portable or fixed installation applications has also been announced.
The Milan series incorporates proprietary technology used in Turbosound’s high-end concert touring products and is designed with musicians, DJs and small installs in mind. Milan features high-efficiency class-D amplifiers along with DSP to ensure optimum audio quality and driver protection. The loudspeakers’ two-channel onboard mixer accommodates dynamic microphones and line level sources.
The all-new Compact series offers four high-performance passive two-way loudspeakers and a choice of two band-pass subwoofers. Designed to be discreet in permanent installs, the cabinets feature concealed pole mount sockets and rear handles, though Turbosound is keen to stress that the loudspeakers are equally suited to portable use.
The series comprises the 8-inch two-way TCX-8, 10-inch two-way TCX-10, 12-inch two-way TCX-12, and 15-inch two-way TCX-15 passive loudspeakers, plus TCX-15B and TCX-18B subwoofers, all with Speakon NL4 and barrier strip connectors. Internal M10 rigging points are provided for use with Turbosound wall and ceiling brackets, and also for OmniMount loudspeaker mounting hardware. The Compact series is also supported by GLL data file format for use with the Ease acoustic simulation programme.
Also recently announced is the four-channel class-D Rack-DP50 with fully featured USB or network-controlled DSP processing platform.
