Monitor, sub and install speaker join KME line-up

KME has produced the coaxial MCX 15 low profile monitor, which can be used either at a flat angle of 35-degrees or a steeper 55-degrees depending on the distance of the user in relation to the speaker.

The 15-inch monitor offers dispersions of 65-degrees vertically and 45-degrees horizontally, but the horn angle can be rotated by 90-degrees. The left and right sides include connection panels, each hosting two Neutrik NL 4 Speakon sockets for cabling. A high stand flange inside the handle and two KME vario fix mounting points allow a flying frame to be installed relatively quickly without the need to use any tools. Constructed of high birch plywood and finished in a scratch resistant paint with a protective front grille, the 26kg monitor is capable of producing a maximum SPL of 125dB within a frequency range of 60Hz to 19kHz.

Meanwhile, the direct-radiating QLB118X subwoofer has been designed for use as a universal subwoofer or for creating bass arrays in combination with the line array and hybrid elements of the PANO series. Equipped with an 18-inch woofer fitted with both a tetra and dual voice coil, and incorporating a tunnel design within the bass reflex casing, the subwoofer reportedly boasts minimised air flow noise and an improved impulse response. Capable of producing low frequencies down to 32Hz, the 2,000W subwoofer is finished in matte black and weighs 52kg. Other features include discrete carrying handles, stacking elements and an integrated quick release hardware system enabling the installation of line array elements without a frame in both flying and stacking mode.

Also new is the VL2i, a compact speaker system for music and speech reproduction in addition to BGM and fill applications in fixed installations. Outfitted with dual four-inch woofers and a one-inch compression driver, the VL2i operates within a 100Hz to 19kHz frequency range. The lightweight framework is constructed in polyurethane and finished in either black or white paint. Accessories are available including u-brackets, mounting plates and M8 flying points promoting its use vertically or horizontally, whilst adaptors for mobile applications are also available.
