New active and passive speakers from DAS

DAS Audio has introduced the new DR-500 Series loudspeaker systems in both active and passive configurations for portable and fixed applications. The line consists of three active models: the DR-508A, DR-512A, and DR-515A and three passive models: the DR-508, DR-512, and DR-515. All six are two-way Polypropylene enclosures and have a varied range of accessories that facilitate pole mounting for portable PA applications, surface mount and rigging kits for fixed installations, as well as protective covers.

The DR-508A, DR-512A, and DR-515A ship with an integrated Class-D Bi-amplified power amplifier that delivers 1,000W peak and 500W continuous power. The loudspeakers are equipped with female XLR inputs connectors, a male XLR connector for Loop/Thru, and a male IEC connector for the AC power input.

The DR-508A’s transducer complement consists of a HF horn with a 90-degree x 45-degree dispersion pattern mated with an 8-inch LF driver. The DR-512A is equipped with a HF horn with a 90-degree x 45-degree dispersion pattern mated with a 12-inch LF driver, while the DR-515A is outfitted with a HF horn with a 90-degree x 45-degree dispersion pattern mated with a 15-inch LF driver. The frequency range (-10 dB) for the DR-508A, DR-512A, and DR-515A is 60Hz to 20kHz, 50Hz to 20kHz, and 45Hz to 20kHz respectively.

As passive designs, the DR-508, DR-512, and DR-515 have Peak/RMS power handling ratings of 800W/200W, 1,200W/300W, and 1,400W/350W respectively with a nominal impedance of 8-ohms. All three models are equipped with two Neutrik NL4 Speakon connectors.
