New active loudspeakers from Yamaha

Yamaha has announced the DSR series of active loudspeakers, comprising the DSR112, DSR115, DSR215 and DSR118W, all of which reportedly feature new Class D power amplifiers and D-Contour multi-band dynamic processing.
The new amps allow the DSP-loaded DSR112, DSR115 and DSR215 to deliver 1300w, while the DSR118W sub provides 800w. All of the amplifiers include a PFC switching mode power supply. Other features include integral digital FIR-X tuning to provide smooth crossover transitions, 24-bit discrete ADCs and DACs to improve dynamic range, and proprietary Long Throw, Broad Dispersion (LTBD) constant directivity waveguide horns to provide a 90x60 coverage pattern.
The DSR112 and DSR115 respectively feature a custom-designed 12-inch and 15-inch two-way, bi-amp speaker, plus a two-inch titanium diaphragm compression driver and 35mm pole sockets. The DSR215 features two 15-inch speakers plus a two-inch titanium diaphragm compression driver. The DSR118W boasts an 18-inch bass reflex driver plus a top-mounted 35mm pole socket.
