New loudspeakers and driver from P Audio

Six new series of low frequency loudspeakers have been announced by P Audio, alongside a range of compression drivers.
The SD, SN, Challenger, E Series, and IMF loudspeaker designs all employ the manufacturer’s Auto Balanced Cooling system plus new Square Wire technology, both of which are reported as improving power handling and reliability.
Auto Balanced Cooling is designed to direct the flow of air passing through the assembly in order to facilitate overall cooling of the magnet structure. The system reportedly reduces voice coil temperature and produces enhancements in power compression and power handling by up to 40 per cent. The new Squire Wire technology, meanwhile, features in most models in the series, employing precision square wire wound on the inside and outside of the voice coil to increase the overall wire density and voice coil radiating area.
The new range of compression drivers is comprised of the SD75BM, SD63BN, SD44BN, SD44BN, SD44BF, SD43BN, SD26BN and SD26BF. Incorporating new designs and response characteristics, selected models within the SD series feature titanium diaphragms ranging from 64mm to 76mm.
P Audio is also reporting improvements in the integration of flux demodulation devices, with the company having developed new suspension geometries to provide linearised air flow paths that operate in concert with Active Balanced Cooling and Square Wire Technology.
