One Systems has developed the Cross Field Array (CFA)-2 for applications where high ambient background noise requires a high output, long-throw projection and high intelligibility solution.
The CFA-2 is a 55-degree x 30-degree vertical array that features a fully rotatable high-frequency waveguide, enabling the system to be oriented vertically or horizontally for installation flexibility. Integrated transducers consist of two large-format compression drivers coupled to a single horn and four 10-inch woofers that are arranged in a 2x2 configuration.
Owing to the CFA-2’s 1,200W continuous, 4,800W peak power handling and its high 104dB (1W over 1m) sensitivity, the system is capable of producing nearly 135dB continuous output at 1m. Its enclosure is made of laminated fibreglass and is equipped with nine M10 inserts for rigging, supported with an internal metal substructure that ensures a greater than 8:1 safety factor. A variety of optional suspension accessories are available including eyebolts, a U-Bracket, a pan/tilt bracket and a pole mount system. The system’s ingress protection / weather rating is IP56.
Meanwhile the enclosure is equipped with an internal 600W autoformer that enables the speaker to be powered as a low-impedance (4-ohm) system or as a high-impedance (70.7v to 100v) system. The built-in autoformer can be tapped at 600W, 300W and 150W for maximum flexibility and has easy to use internal jumpers that enable quick configuration.
