PFA series unveiled

Emerging from the production line following extensive engineering work, Next-proaudio’s latest full-range speaker series is intended to provide ‘high output and dynamics, extreme linearity and fidelity’ at a competitive price point.

The PFA series currently comprises both active and passive 12- and 15-inch models as well as range of powered and self-powered subwoofers in sizes ranging from 15-inch up to dual-18-inch. Deployable in either fixed installations or mobile applications, the manufacturer states that the system is ‘both effective as a stage monitor or as a compact FOH system’.

All models in the series are available in either active or passive versions. The active enclosures are powered by an integrated 1,650W RMS (3,300W peak) lightweight Class-D switch mode power supply, stated to provide ‘balanced, rich and transparent’ sound at any volume. DSP functionality is also integrated into the cabinet and offers users eight selectable presets (six factory defined and two user defined), accessible via the rear control panel.

Connection with a PC allows to for the use of the manufacturer’s Next Soundwave software for further customisation of settings. The software allows users to edit input EQ, delay, HP/LP filters and the Bass Enhancer parameters.
