ProAudio Technology ships ‘plug and play’ HT16 tour set

German manufacturer ProAudio Technology is now shipping its HT16 full-range enclosures, having initially previewed them earlier in 2012. The enclosures are described as ‘lightweight and plug and play with high output power and long range relating to their size and weight’.

The HT16 tops boast a linear phase acoustic design, clean radiation characteristics and trapezoidal cabinets for coupling in a cluster. Transport and rigging accessories are also available. Additional low end for the system is via the manufacturer’s 35kg SW18 subwoofers, which can be driven in either cardioid or omnidirectional mode.

Each HT16 is designed as a bassreflex horn-in-horn construction with an impedance of 8ohms. Two different radiation angles are available (60-degrees by 40-degrees or 90-degrees by 40-degrees), though both versions can be driven in mixed operation on the same amplifier channel.

Powering the enclosures is the 2RU, 12kg Delta 14.4-DSP amplifier, which can be used with or without active DSP to drive other loudspeaker systems, if required.
