A wireless boundary microphone option has been added to beyerdynamic’s Quinta conference solution, increasing the system’s installation flexibility. The new Quinta TB model relies on Triple Band technology to ensure uninterrupted transmission, while the manufacturer states that the system provides ‘HD audio quality’ together with 128-bit encryption and a 24-bit PIN code to protect against eavesdropping.
With a stated running time of 14 hours before needing a recharge, the wireless mic can be operated in different modes. In microphone mode, the Quinta CU control unit acts as a multichannel receiver in which a maximum of four Quinta TBs can be operated simultaneously. In this mode, the software can reportedly be used to connect up to nine central control units. In conference mode, the Quinta TB mics act as a delegate microphone unit and can be used for any traditional conference application.
A three-coloured backlit button with tactile feedback and Braille shows participants the status of the microphone and enables use of the global mute, push-to-talk and push-to-mute modes.
In other news, the German manufacturer has also added a programmable button feature to its Classis series with additional gooseneck and Revoluto microphones for both GM and RM versions.
The new button is selectable using a rotary tool and can be used for SP variants. This includes turning the device on and off and enabling both push-to-talk and push-to-mute functions. Two frequency response settings are available, including linear and bass roll-off. The LED ring to display the microphone status can also be deactivated.
The RC version allows external control of operations. When working with the microphone button, an external device can be controlled via the control output.
Versions include the Classis GM 313 SP, GM 315 SP, and GM 315 RC gooseneck microphones, featuring an LED ring and programmable button. Additionally, RM 31 SP and RM 31 RC array microphones with Revoluto Technology are also available, featuring both the LED ring and programmable button.
