The R&S TLU9 family of low-power UHF transmitters are equipped with an integrated exciter backup battery, ensuring mains voltage interruptions of up to 10s do not result in a reboot and keep off-air time too a minimum. TLU9 joins Rohde & Schwarz’ Tx9 transmitter generation, with manufacturer stating that it ‘provides improved signal quality and stability for availability and long service intervals’.
The TLU9 transmitters support DVB-T, DVB-T2 and ISDB-Tb digital standards and are air-cooled with output powers ranging from 1W to 200W. Features include TSoIP functionality, adaptive digital pre-distortion and simplified DVB-T to DVB-T2 switchover.
Additionally, the TLU9 family possesses an optioning system, allowing the possibility to integrate multiple optional hardware or redundancy configuration components within the transmitter housing. Energy efficient due in part to low heat generation, the transmitters allow for simple component replacement and can share components with other in the Tx9 generation.
