SM-60M

Danley Sound Labs has introduced two new molded horn loudspeakers – the SM-60M and SM-60F. The SM-60F delivers full-range content, whereas the SM-60M delivers mid- and high-frequency content only.
The units are similar in spirit to Danley’s SH-50 full-range loudspeaker, but use fewer drivers and are constructed of molded plastic, making the stock units completely weatherproof.
The SM-60M uses one 5-inch coaxial driver, whereas the SM-60F adds two 8-inch woofers to that design. The SM-60M measures flat to within 3dB from 270Hz to 15kHz, while the SM-60F does the same to within 4dB from 66Hz to 24kHz. Coverage patterns for both are 60° x 60°, with both outputting approximately 125dB continuous and 128dB program. The SM-60M’s input power ratings are 250W continuous and 500W program, whereas the SM-60F rates 800W continuous and 1.6kW program.
The manufacturer has also released the TH-118 subwoofer. The TH-118 modifies Danley’s TH-115 subwoofer with an 18-inch driver. It is available in 4Ω and 8Ω models. Both are capable of delivering 146dB at 134Hz with input power rates of 1.8kW continuous and 3.6kW program. Both output from 40Hz to 250Hz with only 3dB of deviance. Sensitivities are 114dB and 111dB at 134Hz for the 4Ω and 8Ω models, respectively.
