Small format, big sound from APG

Aiming to produce a big sound in a small space, French loudspeaker manufacturer APG has expanded its range of versatile micro-format 5-inch coaxial loudspeakers with the addition of the dedicated MX0 installation loudspeaker.

The MX0 has Phoenix connectors as standard and is also available in 70/100V line version. The manufacturer states that ‘the MX0 is an ideal choice for applications where space is at a premium and the sound system needs to be discreet yet powerful. Its reduced form factor and very wide dispersion characteristics – 100-degress above 10kHz – enable extended coverage with a minimal amount of loudspeakers.’

Designed as a successor to its DX5 loudspeaker, the new MX0 offers the same performance in a compact format specifically designed for easy installation in any environment. The MX0 may be stand-mounted or wall- or ceiling-mounted using the optional ETMX0 bracket. Intended applications include vocal reinforcement – such as conferencing, as well as background music and in-fill applications – delay, front fill, side fill and surround sound/effects. When combined with subwoofers, suitable venues include hotels, restaurant or home cinemas, retail outlets, or other multimedia venues.
