Sony launches first laser light source projector

Sony has recently launched its first light source and WUXGA installation projector with Laser Light Source Technology. According to the manufacturer, this is the world’s first 3LCD laser, 4,000 lumens WUXGA (1920 x 1200) projector.
The Laser Light Source Projector offers up to 20,000 hours maintenance free time coupled with newly developed BrightEra 3LCD technology depending on the projector’s environment and setup conditions.
Meanwhile, Sony also unveiled its new A Series of Trimaster EL OLED professional monitors. The A Series is comprised of the BVM-E250A and BVM-E170A master monitors, the BVM-F250A and BVM-F170A and the versatile PVM-2541A and PVM-1741A picture monitors, which suit a wide range of monitoring applications.
The new A Series will replace Sony’s existing BVM-E250, BVM-E170, BVM-F250, BVM-F170, PVM- 2541 and PVM-1741 models, and feature significantly improved viewing angles, reducing the colour shift by half when compared with their predecessors.
Also new from Sony is a new 30-inch 4K OLED monitor for professional use, which was designed to ‘accelerate 4K production in the industry’. The 4K OLED monitor is expected to be launched in the market in 2014.
