Starlight shines on Studiomaster

Studiomaster has unveiled Starlight, a combined sound and light stage system. The new range has been designed to meet small touring performance requirements or small venue installations and integrates FOH and monitor sound, as well as stage lighting within a pair of portable trapezoidal PA cabinets.

Comprising a pair of two-way stand or pole mountable cabs in either 12-inch or 15-inch LF driver models, Starlight combines 250W self powered FOH reinforcement and a 50W powered side mounted monitor driver within each cabinet. Each box also features a rear panel mounted two-channel mixer with three-band EQ, and an external source monitor input and level control.

For the lighting component, a recessed side slot houses six high-power LEDs with dispersion lenses. The in-built lighting controller features 13 programs, including seven static colours, fade to colour change, sound to light; brightness and speed are also adjustable.

The Starlight cabinets are supplied as matched pairs, with the LEDs and monitors angled inward towards the performers’ stage position. The monitor speakers are positioned at ear height to provide directional monitoring to the performers. With the cabs mounted on speaker stands or poles, the vertical LED strips project a colour wash across the stage.

Both mixer inputs feature balanced XLR mic and a ¼-inch jack line as well as unbalanced RCA/phono line, for channel one and two respectively. The ¼-inch jack monitor input has dedicated level control and 18dB/octave high-pass filter for the custom 4-inch sealed driver.
