Tascam unveils new USB Interfaces

Tascam has devised the US‐322 and US‐366 USB interfaces that combine new technologies such as on-board digital mixers and digital effects.

Similar in look to the US-122mkII and US-144mkII interfaces, the US-322 and US-366 models include improved HDDA (High Definition Discrete Architecture) mic pres, which offer a wider frequency response (10Hz to 68 kHz), high S/N ratio (98dB), low EIN (--‐20dBu) and low THD+N (0.0045). The new interfaces also boast low S/N ratio, low THD and the US-366 comes with 24-bit/192kHz recording.

The 2-in/2-out US-322 features a mic XLR/line-guitar TRS input, a mic XLR/line TRS input, together with two line TRS and two line RCA outputs. The 6-in/4-out or 4‐in/6-out US-366 adds two line RCA inputs and one digital RCA/optical input/output.

The Mixer Panel button can access the mixing console screen and on-board insert/send effects for various recording requirements. Bundled with Cubase LE6, the digital mixer offers multi-track and stereo‐mix modes.

The Japanese manufacturer has also produced the DP‐006 6-channel and DP‐008EX 8-channel effects packed Pocketstudio solid-state multi-track recorders.

The DP-006 is equipped with six-channels (two Mono and two Stereo/Mono), selectable track modes, built-in high-quality stereo condenser mics and 2 mic/line inputs. The DP-008EX eight-channel Pocketstudio comes with built-in input and master effects, for which each channel is loaded with volume, pan, reverb-send knobs, auto-punch in/out, two XLR mic inputs with +48V phantom power and built‐in high-quality stereo condenser mics. Both units come with a 2GB SD card and mini-USB for easy file transfer.

The PA-R100 and PA-R200 begins a new breed of products equipped for the audio/visual needs of fixed installations and live settings. Both receivers feature HDMI Support for 3D, RS-232 serial port control, multi-zone audio distribution and picture-in-picture input source. In addition, the PA-R200 has achieved THX Select2 Plus certification. Key features include DNLA compatibility, iPod, iPhone and iPad connectivity and a variety of internet radio and cloud streaming service connectivity.

The TH-02 closed-back headphones feature plush cushioned ear cuffs and a tightly stitched padded headband, for which both the left and right ear-cuffs offer full 90-degrees rotation. The folding design of the TH-02 allows them to compactly fit wherever they need to go. The TH-02 headphones possess a sensitivity reading of 98dB (± 3) within a frequency response range of 18Hz -22kHz.
