TOA Corporation has updated the HX-5 speaker system with the launch of the Mk II Variable Dispersion Loudspeaker.
The original HX-5 offers a flexible coverage angle, durable construction for portable or installed use and high-power handling with excellent intelligibility, for which the vertical angle of the speaker can be adjusted between 15-degrees for long throw use and 60-degrees for more near-field applications.
The HX-5MkII integrates improved driver technology, providing extended low-end response for applications requiring enhanced bass performance. An optional FB-120 subwoofer is also available for applications requiring lower frequency extension, while the HX-5 Mk II is available in a black or white finish in addition to a weather-resistant version.
Meanwhile, the SR-C compact line array series is based on the Japanese manufacturer’s Sync-Drive Iso-Phasic Technology, which was developed for the larger SR-A series.
The SR-C8 components consist of an 8-inch woofer together with two wave-guide loaded 1-inch compression drivers that can be operated in full-range or bi-amped modes. These are also available in a short-throw (15-degrees vertical) ‘S’ version and a long-throw (5-degrees vertical) ‘L’ version, in addition to weather-resistant versions for outdoor use. The SR-C15B subwoofer is a high-powered 12-inch speaker in a bass-reflex enclosure and is also available in a weather-resistant version. All cabinets include integrated flying/joining hardware with screw-terminals and Speakon connectors, whilst an SR-RFR8 rigging frame is optional.
