UK loudspeaker manufacturer and designer Void Acoustics has announced a new addition to its line-up, with the launch of the Trinity X wide bandwidth sub-bass enclosure.
Designed for low-frequency spectrum applications, Trinity X offers power handling of 1500W RMS and a peak output of 139dB. The horn loaded system has been designed to offer a quick transient response with resonant chamber technology providing low frequency extension down to 30Hz. A total of five resonant chambers have been incorporated into the design, with two connecting its dual horn paths, and the other three transmitting via a series of tuned ducts.
The resonant chambers and horn’s outputs are combined in phase at the wave integrator, which also makes use of horn-loading to maximise long-distance projection and overall efficiency. Heat Transference Technology (HTT) has also been applied into the design, in which a rear-located heat sink has been added to transfer heat from the voice coils and magnet assemblies resulting in decreased power compression and long-term reliability.
