Type H column line array

TOA Electronics has launched its Type H, ultra-slim column line array speaker and BS301 subwoofer/satellite speaker system.

At 84mm wide, the Type H column line array is designed to provide high directionality and uniform volume within a targeted space for use in venues with highly reflective interior surfaces, such as conference centres, houses of worship, education facilities and railway stations. The company claims that its Sync-Drive technology produces a coherent soundwave, offering a linear response in the acoustic environment.

The Type H family comprises four models – long- and short-throw variants with straight or curved speaker alignment. The shorter designs are the SR-H2L (straight), and the SR-H2S (curved); the longer versions are the SR-H3L (straight), and the SR-H3S (curved). The short models contain nine vertically aligned drivers and the long models come with 16 drivers. An extensive range of mounting hardware allows the Type H speakers to be wall mounted (either flush or with pan and tilt), flown or pole mounted. A joining kit can be used to join two of the straight models for applications requiring longer throw.

TOA has also announced the BS301 subwoofer/satellite speaker system. Designed for the retail, restaurant and café markets, it consists of four compact satellite speakers (measuring 92mm x 98mm) and a subwoofer, which can be either placed on a floor or wall-mounted with included brackets.

The BS301 is a low-impedance, passive system designed to provide quality background music in a variety of installations, and at the same time be discreetly installed. The four satellite speakers can be mounted  individually on a wall or ceiling or joined together in pairs using the included brackets. When joined together, each speaker may be adjusted independently of the other. The passive subwoofer contains two internal 160mm drivers in a ported enclosure. The included mounting brackets allow it to be wall mounted or even ceiling mounted.

The speakers come in black (BS301B) or white (BS301W), and include all mounting accessories.
