Ohm has released its BootiQue sub system, which includes an onboard channel amp, a fire mute connector, independent controls and a remote face plate. The system has reportedly been designed to compliment the most sophisticated of interiors and is said to be ideal for boutiques, bars, lounge areas, and foyers.
The BootiQue system comes with up to eight high gloss piano black or white satellite speakers, and an onboard three-channel amplifier powers the 10-inch bass driver and all eight satellites. The system also provides independent controls for master, bass and mid high volume parameters, enabling a user to get the right balance of sound throughout a venue.
The rear control panel includes essential functions such as ground lift, polarity reverse, input gain, sub/sat EQ and an auto power off switch.
The remote face plate (connected to the sub via Cat-5) can be placed anywhere a user wants, and control of the system is enhanced by a remote control which boasts an array of functions such as play, pause, track toggle, EQ selection from six presets, input selector, volume and on/off control. The IR sensor on the face plate reportedly allows for seamless coverage for the remote control within a given zone.
The system includes an RCA (Phono) in plus a line-in jack for iPods and a USB port, and more than one BootiQue system can be linked to another to create zones using the RCA link. Additionally, a fire alarm mute connector has been included to ensure that a user is conforming to safety regulations.
