WORLD: IBC will introduce new streams whilst revamping existing ones at its IBC2016 Conference that begins on 8th September at the RAI in Amsterdam. The conference will be titled Transformation in the Digital Era: Leadership, strategy and creativity in media and entertainment and is anticipated to feature insight into key issues at the forefront of the entertainment, media and technology sector from over 300 executives.
With a total of seven thematic streams spread across five days this year, the new streams will be Platform Futures, exploring platforms, content aggregation and distribution strategies and Audiences and Advertising, which will delve into how broadcasters and television platforms can reach and engage with their viewers, monetising the process. Meanwhile, a couple of existing streams will be reconfigured: Content and Production will cover innovative strategies and production techniques, and Business Transformation will tackle the latest operational developments and technology.
Also returning is Advances in Technology, detailing the industry’s latest innovations, IBC Big Screen Experience, looking into the hot topics, themes, and insights surrounding cinema, and the Rising Stars educational programme geared at industry rookies.
‘Our industry is going through dramatic changes, challenging and exciting at the same time,’ said IBC’s consultant director of content, Susan Elkington. ‘The conference will focus on how the entertainment and media sector is using the accelerating power of technology to transform its businesses. It will be very useful for the Content industry, which has a greater level of complexity than it used to.’
The conference will run from 8th September, through to the 12th, while the exhibition will start on the 9th September, running until the 13th. For more information and to register, click here.
