ISE explores convergence of A/V and IT

WORLD: Integrated Systems Europe will host a half-day seminar programme exploring the synergy between A/V and IT technology. The event is scheduled to take place on the final day of ISE 2016 and will be hosted by Stefani Renner and Dieter Michel.

The seminar programme will offer a variety of presentations, tutorials and case studies from business consultants and educational experts. According to ISE, the programme will look to show IT professionals how modern media systems operate and to demonstrate to A/V system planners and integrators how IT personnel in large companies run their departments and networks. It will reportedly combine sessions covering both the technical issues faced when specifying and building a network and the business considerations in securing adequate budget to make it happen.

The organiser has already announced a number of sessions including Rolf Mayer and Volker Löwer from IFBcon discussing A/V Systems and IT: what you need to know about AV networks, as well as HST-Consulting’s Harald Steindl exploring Who owns the AV department? Creating a ‘Master Plan’ to secure investment. Finally a session named Network based A/V and IT Infrastructure for large-scale projects will be hosted by Lutz Rathman from Riedel.

‘This seminar programme helps to strengthen the positioning of A/V and IT professionals in their respective fields and also to help create specialists operating in both,’ said Integrated Systems Events MD, Mike Blackman. ‘We believe this is part of the unique manner in which ISE can add value to the A/V and IT sectors.’
