SSL’s product management team expands three-fold

WORLD: With plans to accelerate its development of new products and updating of current systems, Solid State Logic has started 2017 with the announcement of three new appointments within its product management team. Richard Ferriday joins and Andy Jackson returns to the manufacturer, both as product managers and along with existing product manager Tom Knowles, will report to the new director of product management, John Hourihane.

Mr Hourihane’s new role will be to oversee product management for each of SSL’s primary markets: studio, broadcast and live. He joins with extensive product management experience gained at organisations such as Harman Professional, Gibson Brands, Stanton Group and, more recently, iZotope.

The broadcast division is already looked after by Mr Knowles, Mr Ferriday and Mr Jackson taking on the product management responsibilities for live and studio respectively.

Mr Ferriday is a well-known industry figure who possesses previous experience of working with LMC, Midas, Klark Teknik and Cadac. While working to further expand SSL’s live range of products, Mr Ferriday will partner with business development manager Nathan Hernando, who has been working to grow this area of the business.

Returning after a two-year hiatus, Mr Jackson previously worked at SSL for more than three years, first as a product specialist and then as a product manager for studio products. He therefore brings very specific experience to the role.

‘These appointments renew and reaffirm our commitment and responsibilities to every SSL customer by invigorating and accelerating product innovation and development. John, Richard and Andy bring valuable, rich, and varied expertise to the company, and therefore to our products and our customers, who can expect more exciting innovation to be central to SSL’s continuing success,’ declared SSL managing director Antony David. ‘SSL’s R&D team, now more than 50-strong, has been steadily growing and these new appointments expand our product management capabilities to keep pace with this growth.’
