INDIA: The community of the city of Beawar in India’s Rajasthan region recently gathered together to celebrate this year’s Navratri. Navratri, also commonly referred to as Navaratri, which is the Sanskrit translation of ‘nine nights’, is an annual festival that lasts for nine nights and 10 days to worship the Hindu deity, Durga.
To support the festivities in Beawar, rental company Shree Shankeshwar Pro was called upon to supply mobile sound reinforcement during the city’s Garba, a form of dance that is performed during Navratri. The rental company deployed its custom designed loudspeaker system for the event, which is integrated with P.Audio’s BM-D450 compression and 15BM-400B mid-bass drivers. Providing the low frequencies were the Shree Shankeshwar Pro’s bespoke subwoofers, which include the C18-1000v2 drivers, also from P.Audio. Powering the setup were amplifiers from Dynatech’s V Series and MP Series.
The rental company obtained both the P.Audio and Dynatech through local dealer Himanshu Electronics. Sonotone serves as the exclusive Indian distributor for both brands.
‘The orgranisers and the audience alike loved the sound and I can proudly say that it was at the heart of the celebration,’ beams Akshay Bhandari of Shree Shankeshwar Pro. ‘The system sounds awesome – be it the tonal quality or the punch – it’s brilliant and we absolutely experienced that when we deployed it for the Garba celebrations.’
