Heilig Hart Church invests in Community

WORLD: Zelzate-based communication and integration specialist, Tevean nv has installed a Community sound reinforcement system into the 700-capacity Heilig Hart (Sacred Heart) church in Belgium.
The sanctuary boasts a more contemporary style of architecture, leading the church to seek a sound solution that could offer effective pattern control to avoid problems caused by its reflective surfaces.
Community Entasys column-line-array systems were deemed an appropriate choice, as were a number of compact VLF212 subwoofers for low end. In addition to its prime function of speech reinforcement, the system is used for music and small concerts.
Tevean nv also installed a Symetrix Solus 8 open architecture 8x8 DSP with control via a Symetrix Arc-2e menu-driven wall panel remote. Meanwhile, a variety of Clockaudio and MiPro Act-5 wireless microphones meet the church’s fixed and portable requirements.
‘The client and visitors are very pleased with the excellent audio quality, wide coverage and sound levels the system provides,’ enthused Mario Clabots, managing director of the equipment supplier, M-Pro. ‘It achieves very high intelligibility right to the back of the church and delivers the ideal solution for both speech and music.’
