Mahapawn Bangkok Church equipped with Electro-Voice

THAILAND: The Mahapawn Bangkok Church in Thailand has recently benefitted from a new sound reinforcement system upgrade, courtesy of products from Electro-Voice.
In 2011, Mahapawn’s sound engineer first voiced his concerns regarding the pre-existing recording and sound reinforcement system in the church, as it was unable to simultaneously record 32 tracks via a Firewire port on a PC while musicians were performing.
The small church conducts many weekly activities, including church sermons and various performances, and required a system that would allow the sound to be recorded onto a hard-drive, after which the sound engineer will edit and mix via a software sequencer to eventually produce a CD.
The church specified that its new speakers had to be ‘loud and clear, with good sound quality, no feedback, have a high sound pressure level, and be small and lightweight’. Additional requirements called for a cost effective 8-inch driver solution.
Following an evaluation and testing process, an Electro-Voice ZX1 8-inch two-way full-range composite loudspeaker system was agreed to be the most appropriate solution. During the ZX1 demonstration, end-users were reported to be ‘very impressed with the sound quality produced, especially for live band sections’.
In total, the church purchased nine ZX1-90B loudspeakers, which were installed by the church representatives themselves.
