Soundus deploys DiGiCo and myMix for KCCC

KOREA: Korean distributor Soundus has supplied DiGiCo mixing consoles to be used throughout this year’s KCCC (Korea Campus Crusade for Christ) Summer Conference.

KCCC is an interdenominational organisation founded by Joon Gon Kim in 1958, starting in the Southwestern city of Gwangjoo before quickly spreading to other parts of the country including Seoul, Busan, Daegu, Daejun and Jeonju. Every summer, 12,000 students flock to the Kangwondo Pyeongchang Phoenix Park, the same resort scheduled to be used as a 2018 Winter Olympics venue.

Soundus supplied a DiGiCo SD7 digital mixing desk for FOH – located 120m from the stage – along with an SD8 to be used as a broadcast transmission console, and an SD9 to handle stage monitoring. Each desk was equipped with its own Stage Rack, while an RME Madi Bridge was installed to increase coaxial transmission distances up to 100m. In addition, each band member was supplied with a myMix personal monitoring system, with signals fed from a myMix IEX16LA 16-channel input expander.

‘The summer conference takes place every year and we like to use DiGiCo systems at every event,’ concluded Cho Myeong Yeon, the event’s sound director. ‘We offer our thanks to Soundus for sending us a technical team, they made the conference mixing system perfect. Additionally we have used myMix systems for the previous two events, which sped up our set-up time and delivered a clear sound.’
